Manual[edit]

Moin!/Hello! How does this template work? (‘praps’/perhaps in German) Thank you very much for informing! Greetings Jens Liebenau (talk) 17:35, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Manual according to Stephen E. Thorpe (User:Stho002):

Hello,

For example, on the page for Homo sapiens, at the end of Taxonavigation:

Species: Homo sapiens
Subspecies: H. s. sapiens – …

Then you create a link (to the page [for/of]) Homo sapiens sapiens (Homo sapiens ssp.[/var.] sapiens[/spaciens]).

Cheers

Stephen

You can see how it works on the page for Struthio camelus. Use the template to list subspecies. It formats the list so that line breaks occur in the right place, and so that dashes between items all match. --EncycloPetey (talk) 21:34, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Also, please note that this template is intended for Animalia only. For Plantae, Fungi etc. the templates {{Subspplant}} and {{Subspplantlast}} should be used instead. –Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 00:22, 14 June 2015 (UTC).Reply
