I'm Vahurzpu.

What am I doing?

I'm currently working on better integration with Wikidata, specifically focusing on reference templates (and to a lesser extent, taxon authority pages). My current project is as follows:

• Build a parser that can extract structured information from a large proportion of reference templates
• Use that information to link the templates to the Wikidata items about the publications
• Use the author links in the Wikispecies reference templates to turn author name string statements on the Wikidata items into proper author statements

None of those goals directly involve editing Wikispecies. However, checking why a parse failed, or why a link that should have been made wasn't made often ends in "it's because there was an error in the Wikispecies reference template", and my edits here are mostly fixing those.
