  • Type locality: “Habitat in Europae sepibus”.
  • Type: “Avellana nux sylvestris” (Fuchs 1542: 397, 398) [icon] (lectotype, designated by Sell in Jarvis et al. 1993: 38). Superseding the lectotypification by Browicz in Rechinger, Fl. Iranica (1972: 97): LINN 1132.1.
